Orders are generally prepared for dispatch within:

•In-stock products: 1–3 business days;
•Special-order products: 3–10 business days; and

Customised, manufactured or large-volume orders: As confirmed in the applicable quotation or order confirmation.

Any necessary product specifications, drawings or customisation details have been approved.

Business days exclude weekends and public holidays in England.

Processing time refers to the period required to prepare an order before dispatch. It does not include carrier transit time.

2. Estimated Delivery Times

Available delivery methods and estimated delivery times will be displayed at checkout or confirmed in your quotation or order confirmation.

Delivery estimates begin when the order is dispatched, not when the order is placed.

Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly confirm a fixed delivery date in writing. Actual delivery times may vary because of:

•Delivery destination;
•Carrier service;
•Product availability;
•Product size and weight;
•Customs clearance;
•Import restrictions;
•Remote-area delivery;
•Dangerous-goods requirements; and

Events outside our reasonable control.

For UK Consumer orders, unless another delivery period has been agreed, we will deliver without undue delay and normally within 30 days after the contract is formed.

3. Shipping Destinations

We deliver to many destinations worldwide. However, delivery may not be available for every product or country.

Shipping restrictions may apply to:

•Lithium batteries;
•Chemicals and consumable products;
•Pressurised products;
•Flammable or hazardous materials;
•Oversized or heavy machinery;
•Products subject to export controls;
•Products requiring destination-country certification; and

Remote or restricted territories.

If we cannot ship a product to your destination, we will contact you before dispatch and offer an appropriate alternative or refund.

4. Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated based on:

•Delivery destination;
•Product dimensions and weight;
•Number of packages;
•Selected delivery service;
•Insurance requirements;
•Dangerous-goods classification;
•Customs documentation; and

Remote-area or special-handling charges.

The applicable shipping charge will normally be displayed at checkout or confirmed in a quotation.

Additional charges will not be added after order acceptance without your agreement, except where they result from inaccurate information supplied by the customer or are imposed by customs or government authorities for which the customer is responsible.

5. International Customs, Duties and Taxes

International shipments may be subject to:

•Import duties;
•Customs taxes;
•Value-added tax;
•Clearance charges;
•Brokerage fees;
•Storage charges; and

Other government or regulatory fees.

Unless the checkout, quotation or order confirmation expressly states that duties and taxes are included, these charges are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product or shipping price.

The customer may be required to act as the importer of record and provide identification, tax information, permits, licences or other customs documentation.

For Business Customers, the applicable delivery terms or Incoterms will be stated in the quotation or order confirmation. If specific Incoterms are agreed, those terms will take priority.

JOHNKEANS cannot control or estimate charges imposed by customs authorities. Customers should contact the relevant customs authority before ordering if clarification is required.

6. Customs Clearance

International customers are responsible for providing accurate information and documents required for customs clearance.

Customs authorities may inspect, hold or delay shipments. JOHNKEANS will provide reasonable assistance where possible but cannot control customs-clearance times.

Additional costs caused by missing information, unpaid duties, refused clearance, prohibited imports or customer delay may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.

7. Shipment Tracking

Tracking information will be sent by email or made available through the order-tracking system where tracking is provided by the carrier.

Tracking updates are generated by the carrier and may not appear immediately after dispatch.

Some freight, postal, remote-area or specialist delivery services may provide limited tracking information.

8. Split Shipments

Orders containing multiple products may be dispatched in separate shipments where:

•Products are stored at different locations;
•Certain products require additional processing;
•Products become available at different times; or

Separate delivery is operationally necessary.

We will not charge additional shipping fees for a split shipment unless this has been agreed in advance.

Each shipment may have a separate tracking reference and delivery date.

Large, heavy or industrial products may require:

•Pallet or freight delivery;
•Loading or unloading equipment;
•Forklift access;
•Delivery appointments;
•Suitable vehicle access;
•Additional labour; or

Delivery to a commercial address.

Unless otherwise agreed, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is safe and accessible and that suitable unloading equipment and personnel are available.

Additional charges may apply for redelivery, waiting time, restricted access, specialist unloading or unsuccessful delivery attempts.

10. Delivery Addresses

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including:

•Recipient name;
•Company name, where applicable;
•Building or unit number;
•Street address;
•City and postcode;
•Country;
•Telephone number; and

Any necessary delivery instructions.

If a shipment is:

•Refused;
•Not collected;
•Undeliverable;
•Returned because duties or taxes were unpaid; or
•Returned because the address was inaccurate,

we may deduct reasonable carrier, return, storage, customs and redelivery costs from any refund where legally permitted.
